Just Hanging Out

After sewing, all the girls with kids in tow headed to the mall to eat chick fil a and take a peek at Santa.  These crazy cats thought the stroller ramp at the mall was a slide.

This is 5 billion kids all cramped in the bus ride at the mall. Talk about getting your money's worth out of that ride! Smoke was coming out of the exhaust pipe. ;)

Then Judson said, my momma may be too cheap to pay for my picture with Santa, but by golly I AM going to see him!!! He snuck in Santa's lap. I asked him what he told Santa and he said I told him I hope I get a train and some train tracks for Christmas. I was thankful a friend snapped this cell phone picture for me. ;)

Last minute, after some chili dogs at home, we headed downtown for the Christmas parade.  This was Jud's first live parade, although he is a genius about everything in a parade thanks to senorita Dora. :)  We had to leave at 6:30 before Addie turned into a pumpkin at her bedtime.

Thanksgiving Adventures

The Ables spent Thanksgiving weekend with The Satterwhites in Diana.  We headed over Thursday afternoon and ate a big lunch with lots of family.  My cousin, Nick and his family came in from Colorado, so Judson was able to spend a lot of time playing with his cousins, Porter and Tate.

Friday night, all the boys were able to spend the night together and play.  Auntie T always has fun ideas for the boys.  They all loooove her so much.

The gang's all here!  I told my aunt we looked like a daycare. ;)  Little Miss Addison is in there, too but I couldn't get her in the picture.

They also had a camp out in a tent in the basement, but I didn't end up with any pictures of that. :(

Dad was able to get in at least four good duck hunts with Nick and some friends.  Hallie had a ball and retrieved ALL the ducks!

 We are so blessed and thankful to have such a wonderful family.  We always have such a wonderful time when we are all together.  I love this time of year!

Friday Night Fun

Dad surprised us and took us to Shreveport Friday night for some fun.  Addie is an early bird these days and when that girl gets sleepy, she starts a fussin'!  So needless to say, we weren't brave enough to go to Superior Steakhouse like we have been in the past.  This time we ate at The Cheesecake Bistro at The Boardwalk Shops.

On the way to dinner, Dad let us all ride the carousel.  Judson spied the zebra and that was the one he wanted to ride. Dad got stuck on a fish.

The fam let me go in some shops looking for treasures, but I came up empty handed.  The next morning, we all went for breakfast at IHOP. I asked for strawberries and bananas for Jud, and the waitress showed up with strawberries and bananas covered in strawberry syrup.  Needless to say, Judson thought this was the best breakfast ever.  I made him wear one of Addison's bibs. :)

After breakfast we headed over to Bass Pro Shops to see Santa.  Judson told him he was hoping for a train for Christmas. Addison just gave him the stare down.

Judson and Dad enjoyed themselves, as usual.

After Bass Pro, we headed to The Sci-Port to see an IMAX Movie and to play on the exhibits in the lobby.

Then we headed west toward home.  We stopped in Kilgore and ate at Chilis and then we decided to go to The Oil Museum.

 This was the elevator ride to the center of the earth.  Judson and Dad got a little scared. ;)

There is never a dull moment with The Ables Crew.

Big Girl

Little Miss Addie is growing like a weed.  She tried a cracker for the first time.

And a sippy cup.

And she's crawling and she says,"Ma Ma Ma Ma."

Visit To Frisco

Judson has been asking to see his Granmosh and I have been missing my mom, too so we headed to Frisco to spend the night on Tuesday.  Juddy, Addie and I stopped in Canton for a potty break at The Dairy Palace (one of my fav's).  We had some cheese sticks and french fries and then headed over to Paul Michael for a quick run-thru looking for some canisters.  Then we got back on the road!

On Wednesday morning, we all headed over to The Gaylord to see ICE! 

We have learned over the years that the earlier you go and if you can go on a weekday- it's the least crowded.  This year's theme was Madagascar.  My mom and I thought it was the best year yet.  Judson and Addison were amazed and really did seem to enjoy it this year.

Judson walked through on his own this year.  He looked like a little penguin in his big ol coat.  He went down the slide this year and really seemed to think ICE was cool.

We walked around The Gaylord to look at all the Christmas displays.  Judson is fascinated with trains right now.
