Nanna's Christmas

After our celebration at home, we usually go to Nanna's House on Christmas Day to celebrate with her, but we had to have a last minute change of plans because her electricity went out, so the party moved to our house.
Nanna brought all her food to our house for brunch.  Once everyone started to show up, Judson just had to show them his new toy he got from Santa.

Addison was excited to see her Nanna.

Nanna usually reads a Christmas book to us, but in the excitement of changing houses, she forgot her book.  So after we ate, Dad suggested we read from The Jesus Storybook Bible.

Then we opened our gifts to each other and played with our new toys.

 Uncle Tim bought cowboy Judson some spurs!

 Aunt Ashley bought Judson a plasma car!

 Nanna gave Judson a new train!  This is what he had asked Santa for, so I bet Santa must have called Nanna and told her!

The fun times are still happening over here!  Almost everyone has taken a nap EXCEPT for Judson, of course.  He is too excited to sleep. 

Our Family Christmas

So we got home from Longview around 6, and Dad had to disappear in the garage to help Santa out with a few things, so after playing with some of our toys, we put Addie to bed and Judson and I made snowball cookies for Santa.  Judson left one on a plate and a glass of milk for him.

At bedtime, Dad tucked Judson in and they read the story of Jesus birth.  Then they said their prayers and Judson went to sleep.
The next morning, Jeremy went in Judson's room to remind him that today was Jesus Birthday!  Then, Judson came in the living room and found some treasures that Santa had left him (Addison decided to sleep late). 

Judson noticed that Santa ate his cookie and drank the milk and left him and Addison a letter!

About this time, Addie woke up and came to see her treasures from Santa!

Santa even came to see Hallie!

A Satterwhite Christmas Celebration

Once we left Granmosh's Farm, we headed to The Satterwhites on Christmas Eve to celebrate.  We visited and all the kids were able to play and have a good time.  We ate and ate and ate. (Check out this spread). :)

We always take pictures in front of their beautiful tree.

We also took some pictures with snow men. :)

 The kids opened gifts and we do a gift exchange.

Judson was pooped by the time we left.  We were in the car probably 15 seconds and he konked out.

Christmas at Granmosh's Farm

Next, we headed to Granmosh's Farm in Ore City to celebrate.  We spent two nights and had such a good time.  We played dress up and made music.

We played outside a lot.  Granmosh put lights on a tree outside and she and Judson strung cranberries on string to hang on it.  They also covered pine cones in peanut butter and bird seed and hung those on the tree, too.

We sat outside by a campfire both nights.  Our second night there, we popped some fire crackers!

When I was little, we always hit a pinata at my Mamaw and Papaw's Christmas, and this is a tradition that we do with Judson now (and Addie when she gets a little bigger) at Granmosh's Christmas.

 We opened gifts and of course, we ate a ton.  Dad and Hallie were able to hunt each morning and were successful both days.

 

Mamaw came to stay with us, too and we were so happy to have her there.

Judson was so sad when it was time to come home.  He loves spending time with Granmosh; Especially at her farm.
