A Weekend In Galveston

Dad and Nanna took Friday off and we all headed to Galveston for the weekend for some fun in the sun!

The weather was so perfect and the water was the perfect temperature! Addison has suddenly become a beach bum like her brother and they both had a blast. They played in the water, built castles in the sand, found hermit crabs, picked up shells, Judson tried his hand at "surfing" aka boogie boarding, and we enjoyed the nice breeze!

We decided to let Judson sleep on the top bunk in our condo, so he thought he was "the man."

We cooked each meal at the condo this time and saved quite a bit of money. We did go to The Strand one day and visit the candy shop. That's always a must. And Judson and Dad had to go in Colonel Bubbies and find a treasure or two. Judson got a pin for his shirt and a pair of fighter jet goggles. Although, I think his favorite souvenier was a switchblade comb his Dad bought him at Wings. ;)

We bought fresh crab and shrimp from a bay side market and cooked it at the condo that night. Deeelish!

We had such a great time on our short trip to the beach and are already wanting to go back!

First Day!

Judson went back to school today and Addie started school for the first time.  As you will see in the first picture, Addison wasn't in the best of moods before we left the house, so I was expecting the worst. Judson had been preparing her ahead of time about how she was going to LOVE her baby class! :). Judson was already asking to get out of the car once we arrived at the parking lot because he couldn't wait to show Mrs. Jim his new shoes!  We dropped Judson off first and he immediately hugged Mrs. Jenn and started playing. He was happy to be there. Addie was next. She immediately smiled at her teacher whom she had never met before and reached out her arms to go to her! I was amazed! Her teachers said she had a great first day and never cried! Thank you, Lord.

Addison got to have her very own cherry star from Dairy Queen. Didn't even have to share with brother. Lucky dog.

First Day at Richmond

The Ables are moving! We are SO excited! Our kids need a backyard. AND Hallie needs some yard, too. We could also use more space for all these toys and such. ;) We closed on our new house today and began moving things over. Judson and Addison (especially Judson) spent the entire day, and I mean ENTIRE day- playing in the new backyard. Red cheeks, mosquito bites and all. We are beyond thrilled and can't wait to get settled.

Splashing

We went to Faulkner today to splash in the water and play on the playground. It was fun! It has been toooo hot lately, so I know the kids were excited to spend some time outside.

Porter's Birthday

We went to Longview on Thursday night to celebrate Porter's Birthday! He had a Peter Pan party, so everyone came dressed for the occasion. Judson wore a hat, belt, and sword, and Addie came dressed as Tinkerbell. All the kids ate pizza and then jumped in the pool. Everyone also played in the play house and then they all did a treasure hunt. Such cute decorations and such a fun time!
