Fun With The Fam

On Friday, we decided to make a family trip over to Shreveport for the night. We headed over in the rain and made our first stop at The Boardwalk Shops.  The boys wanted to go to Bass Pro Shops, so we went in and looked at the fish and Judson and Dad did some duck hunting. :)  After Bass Pro, we headed over to eat lunch and Mom did a little shopping.

Later that evening, we all went to eat at Superior's Steakhouse for dinner.  We definitely got a few funny looks for having our kiddos with us, but no one could complain because they slept through the entire dinner and didn't make a peep!

The next day, we ate breakfast and headed over to see a movie about dinosaurs at The Imax Theater.  Judson thought it was pretty cool.

There was an airshow at Barksdale on Saturday that we debated on going to, but were worried it may be too loud for Addison.  We actually ended up seeing planes out and about all day and it was really neat.  We went back to The Boardwalk and did a bit more shopping and then ate a late lunch and headed back home.
After church on Sunday, we all headed to the zoo to enjoy the beautiful day.

We had a such a great time together this weekend.

Busy Weekend

Friday night, Judson spent his first night away from home. His Nanna invited him over to spend the night, so we packed his bag and sent him off for a fun night.

 While Judson was away for the evening, Dad took his girls out for dinner to Red Lobster. Addison fell asleep and Jeremy and I actually carried on a conversation over dinner! :) It was great to have a date together!

 It was so quiet around the house without Judson around. We missed him, but he had such a good time with Nanna.
We had three birthday parties this weekend. It was a lot of fun for Judson to get to play with his friends. Our friend Cameron had a mustache and tie birthday party on Saturday and here is our family portrait from the party:

A Little Gardening with My Addie Girl

Well... Judson went back to school this week and Addison and I were so lost as to what to do with our time without brother around.  Things were really quiet and we seriously sat and tried to think of all kinds of things we could do for fun.  We missed Juddy Boo.

We decided to go outside and weed the front flower bed and go to Home Depot to pick out some new flowers to spruce things up.

Easter Fun in Galveston

Granmosh has been wanting to take us all to Galveston and it turned out that Easter weekend was the best time for us to go since Dad would be off work on Good Friday. We left on Thursday and made the four hour drive in time to meet at Landry's for a yummy dinner.
The next morning, Granmosh had made Judson a pirate hat, sword, treasure map, and eye patch for him to wear to the beach because she had hidden a treasure for him to find on the beach (so fun!). Judson thought this was the coolest thing ever and kept saying, "yo ho!" over and over.

 After our treasure hunt, we spent some time playing in the sand and sticking our toes in the water.

On Saturday, we went to The Strand and visited the candy store and shared a vanilla ice cream soda. Judson picked out several chocolates and Granmosh bought him a little chocolate bunny which he fell asleep eating on the ride back to the beach house. :)

We all ate lunch at Fisherman's Wharf and headed back to the beach!

After some time in the sand, Granmosh, Judson, and I dyed and decorated some Easter eggs together and then hid them on our porch. Judson had a great time!

When Sunday rolled around, everyone's lips were hanging down because we didn't want to leave. We had such a great time at the beach for Easter with Granmosh and Grandad!
