Meme and Papa's Christmas

Our next Christmas adventure took us to Meme and Papa's House.  We visited with family and ate yummy food.  The family tradition is to play Bingo!  We stayed for a couple of games, but had to get Addison home for bed time because she was sleepy and started to fuss a little.  I guess times have changed. :)

Christmas Time Is Here

Judson and I LOOOVE Christmas.  Everything about it.  When I was little, my Mom would put out this little Christmas House as part of her decorations we named The Ho Ho House and I would sit and stare at it dreaming of what all was inside.  My Mom passed down The Ho Ho House to us and when I put it out for the first time this year, Judson was SOOO excited and sat and stared at it just like I used to.  I am so happy to have it and I'm excited that Judson will grow up loving it each year just as much as I did.

Last year, we started the tradition of making sugar cookies together this time of year.  This year Dad didn't get to participate like last year because he was sick with a fever. Judson and I went ahead and made some and had a good time.  I noticed after a day or so that ALL of them were missing.  I thought Jeremy ate them all, but Hallie (our dog) apparently thought they were very delicious.

We do A LOT of celebrating around here when it comes to Christmas time.  Our first family celebration was at my Dad's on Thursday.  We went to Athens and ate ribs, sausage, and lots of other yummy things and opened gifts.  Judson LOVES his cousin, Jaden and thinks he is the coolest.  We had a great time playing and visiting with everyone.  Pawpaw bought Judson and brand new pair of cowboy boots and he gave Addison a cool tricycle.

On Friday, we started our celebration with Jeremy's Family.  His aunts, uncles, and cousins all drive in from all over and we spend the weekend visiting and having fun.  On Saturday, we opened gifts and ate lots and lots of food.  All the grandkids gave Pop a book full of family photos.  Morgan worked hard to get it all together.  It was so neat and Pop was very happy.

Judson spent time fishing with Uncle Keith and rodeo-ing with Uncle Mike.  He also spent lots of time playing with his cousins, Audrey and Reagan.  He can't be around Uncle Tim without horsing around, either.

Addison spent lots of time with everyone.  She helped Nanna and Aunt Diana in the kitchen on Friday night.  She was up WAAAY past her bedtime on Saturday night, but she was a real trooper.

On Sunday, we all met for breakfast at The Diner before everyone headed their separate ways.  We had such a great time together and we look forward to this weekend every year.

Sunday night, we had Christmas with Jeremy's Dad.  We all met for dinner at BJ's and then came back to our house for cookies and presents.  Judson ADORES his Aunt Ashley and Uncle Tim, so any celebration where they are there is a good time for Jud. 

 Poppy and Connie gave Judson and Addison each a new Christmas ornament, so Judson hung them on the tree for us.

 I know this post was long, but just wait.... we are not even halfway done with all the Christmas celebrations. ;)  Until tomorrow night, my friends!

Lately

Little Jud Man made his first trip to the dentist.  This went WAY better than expected.  He seemed to love the dentist and he got a great report!  I taught the dental hygienist when she was in middle school, so that was neat.

We went to Piddlin Pottery to paint a Christmas ornament.  Surprisingly, Jud wasn't too impressed with this. I thought he would LOVE it.  So, once we left the pottery place, we went to Mickey D's to play.  Little Miss Addison had a good time exploring.

Here is a picture of Addie getting into some trouble before our pottery painting excursion.  She decided to steal her brother's milk and have a good time with it.

Nanna took us all out to eat at Cracker Barrel and then took us to see the lights at Santa Land.  Each year gets more and more fun with Judson.  He loves Christmas lights.  Addison seemed to be mesmerized by the lights, too.

I took the kids to the zoo today.  We were ready to get out of the house and we decided to go see the animals.  Judson wore his binoculars. :) 

He searched high and low for the alligators, but we never saw one!

We stopped in Africa for some nachos and Addie ate some animal crackers.

Our last stop was to play in the sand.  Addie wanted to feel sand on her toes, too.
