Strawberry Garden

My little Jud LOVES strawberries. It's one of the few things he WILL eat. He decided one morning, that he wanted to grow some, so we loaded up and headed to Lowes to buy some plants. I searched and searched and couldn't find any, and what cracked me up is Judson finally found them for me! He saw pictures of strawberries and led the way! He was so proud to add the dirt and smoosh his plants, and water them.  He remembered to go out and water them for two days.... And then Hallie found them. And this is what happened to Judson's beloved strawberry garden.... Poor Jud.

Fantastic Mother's Day!

Judson and Addison gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a sweet card this morning. Then Dad brought us Burger King for breakfast. Judson had to keep it real and put shower cream in his sister's hair while I got dressed. ;) I couldn't help but laugh. After we got Addie all cleaned up, we all hopped in the 'burb and drove to Caddo Lake. We met 26 other family members at Big Pine Lodge for a catfish lunch, and then all boarded The Graceful Ghost, a steam powered paddle wheeler, and floated down the river and enjoyed the perfect temperature and beautiful scenery. Captain Judson even took the wheel for a bit! After our boat ride, the rest of the crew headed to a Gator Farm, but our kids were VERY sleepy, so we decided to head back home. After a family walk and dinner at home, I can say this has been an awesome mother's day. My babies keep me laughing and I love them so much.

Tardy For The Party

Well. We were headed to a great friend's moving away party and we were parked and wondering, "Where is everybody???" Come to find out, we showed up at the wrong place! Sheesh. The party was in Tyler and we drove out to Whitehouse! So we were tardy to the party, but the kids sure had fun once we showed up! We are going to miss The Cantwell's soooo much!
We had another fun festivity to attend later in the afternoon. Once again, I drove us all to the wrong place, so we were tardy again, but we made it! :) Such a fun day!

Busy Day

We started out the day eating breakfast at home. Then Judson did a science experiment with baking soda, food coloring and vinegar. He was using a dropper to put the vinegar on the baking soda, but I left him at the table to attend to Addie Bop and I hear A LOT of constant fizzing going on in there and I returned to see he had resorted to pouring the whole cup onto his baking soda. (BOYS!!!)
Then we all left to go to Barnes and Noble for a book. Judson and Addison quickly found the lego station, so we parked it there for a while.
After the bookstore, we headed to The Tyler Public Library for the kids first time. Judson loved it. He especially loved the toys, but later discovered he could borrow books, so he grabbed a spiderman book and was a happy camper. He isn't understanding the concept of borrowing the book and having to return it, but we have two weeks to master it. ;)
Then we came home and Judson did his other project I had planned for him. It was shaving cream and food coloring on a baking sheet. Then you swirl the colors and smash paper into it. Basically it colors your paper all swirly and then you can make cards or what-have-you out of it.
Mrs. Jim- If you are reading this out there in cyber world, your cute mother's day questionnaire prompted these projects. ;) Judson said he liked to do projects with his mom. :)
