My Kids Want To Party All The Time...

(In the words of good ol' Eddie Murphy).
First, we celebrated my birthday. Thirty five big ens. At least I still feel and act young (immature). :) The kids gave me a sweet card and some cake mix and icing for us to bake cupcakes together.
We went to celebrate our friends Shepard and Fisher at the zoo for their birthday! Such fun! Did we mention they had Chick fil a nuggets and sweet tea? Oh, and cheetos? What more does a good party need?
So I wore my sunglasses practically ALL DAY like this... Practically vertical on my face, and not one. I repeat NOT ONE friend cared to tell me it looked like they were stomped on by a baboon.
Nanna came to the rescue, like the saint that she is and kept our kids that night, so Jeremy and I could go to Shreveport for the night to celebrate my birthday with our friends, Jarrod and Kristi.  We ate a most splendid, delicious, memorable meal at Superior's Steakhouse. Then, we headed back to Margaritaville for the evening. Our topic of conversation for the evening was the number of strollers being pushed through the casinos.
The next morning, we ate at Ihop and did some shopping. I spent allll my birthday money on my kids (surprise surprise), but I sure had fun doing it! Those little jokers have my heart.
Yum. Just YUM.
Happy Birthday to ME!
ButterCUPS! Cupcakes.

We really just like to have fun...

We played with The Johnson Crew at the mall. We spent all the money we found in our easter eggs at Granmosh's Farm.
We went fishing with Dad at Uncle Tim's Farm.
Addie and Mom played on the Fresh Patio, while our boys caught fish.
We ate chocolate bunnies the size of The Empire State Building that Poppy and Jojo gave us for Easter.
We had all our sewing friends come over to try out our homemade carwash.
We tried reallllly hard to sell some good ol' southern sweet tea. (Apparently, Tyler had NO clue what they were missing out on.) #notonecustomer

Easter Festivities

We went to Granmosh's Farm on Saturday to play and spend the night. Granmosh had some fun Easter toys for the kids to play with while they were there. She had prepared a huge, delicious meal for us with ham, sourdough rolls, scalloped pineapple, purple-hull peas, english pea salad, and a two-layer chocolate cake, she made herself with fondant.
Granmosh and Judson dyed some easter eggs and roped some broncos while Addison napped. Once she woke up, we headed to Auntie T's house to color eggs and have dinner with our cousins. Judson ADORES his cousins and begs to see them all the time, so you can imagine- he had a great time. After coloring eggs, we had dinner at The Butcher Shop and headed back to Granmosh's farm house for the night.
The next morning, I made bacon and ressurection rolls for everyone. Judson, Addison and I had been talking all week about what Easter is really about. Not bunnies and candy and eggs, but Jesus. So we had read about Jesus dying on the cross and rising from the dead in The Jesus Storybook Bible and we made a craft earlier in the week, so making these cinnamon rolls really made sense to Judson.
The kids hunted for easter eggs filled with pocket change at Granmosh's farm (which both kids spent at the mall today to ride the toys by Chick fil a), and then we headed back to Auntie T's to celebrate with the rest of our family. We ate fajitas, played outside, flew a kite, blew some bubbles, chased our cousins, and had a special visit from the easter bunny. He came bearing gifts and the boys enjoyed beating him over the head with foam swords (in true boy fashion). All of the kids hunted eggs and had THE BEST TIME.
