Play Time with Kylie

Judson and I went to lunch with my friend Kay and her granddaughter, Kylie. We decided to meet at Yamato for some yummy food. Judson tried to eat his lunchable with his chopsticks.

At one point, he was sliding his bologna on his chopsticks like a skewer and bologna went flying in the air. I guess he thought he would show our chef that he had skills, too.
Kyle got lots of new chapsticks for Christmas, and she kept wanting to share them with Judson. I guess he thought this was really cool because he and Kylie became fast friends. Everywhere they would go, they would hold hands.  They both loved the fish pond at Yamato.

It was a beautiful day in December and they were playing so well together, we decided to take them to Sonic to play.  This trip cracked me up. Kylie and Judson took off their shoes and went wild in the sand.  Judson rolled around like a roly poly and made sand angels. It was like he was saying, "Mom! I really needed this!"  Mrs. Kay bought Judson and Kylie some cups and spoons and they played in the sand and had a great time. We had such a good time playing with Kylie and we hope to see her again soon.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning, we celebrate at our house- just our little family. We can't wait to start our own traditions with Judson as he gets a little older. This morning, Judson woke up and started eating his breakfast and noticed something really BIG with a sheet over it by our back door. Among further investigation, he found his one and only Christmas gift from Mom and Dad this year. Judson got a Ford F-150!  Jeremy and I have been researching all the power wheels for months, after Judson fell in love with his friend Davis's battery powered golf cart.  I think his truck is a huge hit! We were a little disappointed it was raining all day, so Judson didn't get to ride very much, but as soon as we have a dry day, I'm sure Judson will be riding up and down our street!

After we celebrate at our house, we head over to Nanna's for brunch. Nanna made a yummy breakfast and then she always reads an exerpt from a book about the true meaning of Christmas.

Then we all open our gifts to eachother.

We hung around Nanna's House until around 4:30 and had a nice, relaxing time just being together. 
      After eight Christmas celebrations for us this year,  we can't believe the holidays are finally over.  It is so fun getting to be with family, but now we have to slow down and get our house back in order!!!

Christmas at The Satterwhites

Our family tradition has always been to be with my family on Christmas Eve for lunch, so as usual- we headed to Longview for the day.  This celebration usually includes my aunt and uncle, my three cousins, and my Mamaw.  My mom was planning to be there this year, but she got sick and had to miss. :(  My Aunt Travonda always pays attention to every little detail and had her house decorated so beautifully and had her tables set so pretty. Judson and his cousin, Porter had their own little table with snowman cups and matching bibs with their names monogrammed on them.

This Christmas meal is the one I look forward to EVERY year! We have certain dishes that we HAVE to have or else!!! :)

After we eat, all the kids usually open their gifts and the boys have so much fun opening and playing with their new toys.

This next picture is of my cousin, Nick. I got tickled because we were watching Claymation Christmas movies and Nick's wife Kelley commented that she thinks Nick looks like Yukon Cornelius on one of the movies. :) What do you think?

Porter LOVED the saxophone Judson bought for him!

 My cousin Christi and I have grown up best friends since we were little. We are six months apart. Now I am pregnant and due in February and she is pregnant and due in May! We are so excited to be pregnant at the same time!  I made her take a pregnant picture with me in front of the tree! ;)

We always have a great time at The Satterwhite Christmas. Judson had so much fun, he missed his nap.  This is his picture as soon as we got in the car to come home. He fell asleep with a pretzel in his mouth.

Christmas with Meme and Poppy

On Thursday, we went to Meme and Papaw's House to eat dinner with Jeremy's paternal grandparents side of the family. We had a big dinner and then all played Bingo which is a big tradition in Jeremy's family.  I won two games this year, which I was very proud of!

 Cayla just had sweet baby Brynn less than two weeks ago and they both came to eat dinner and play Bingo!

After celebrating at Meme's House, we came back to our house to celebrate with Jeremy's Dad and Connie.  Uncle Tim and Aunt Ashley came, too of course!  Connie gave Judson a set of remote control cars that light up and let me tell you- they were a HUGE hit with Judson!

Christmas with Pop

This weekend, Jeremy's Family all came in from Abilene, Houston, and Florida and we celebrated Christmas with Jeremy's Pop.  We always have such a good time when all of the cousins get together. Our group keeps growing and growing with the addition of new great grandchildren for Pop.  Jeremy's cousin Kimberly is married to the quarterback for University of Houston, Case Keenum.  He couldn't make it yesterday because of practice, but he sent a  backpack for all of the great grand kids. Here is a picture of them showing Case some love!

 The girls went to downtown Gladewater to check out some shops and the boys stayed at the house. Uncle Mike entertained Judson with a ride on the lawnmower.

While in town, we bought some ribbon at The Bow Shop and Aunt Suzie made Addison some cute hair bows!

It was getting late in the afternoon and Judson did not want to take a nap! There were too many exciting things going on. We learned at Thanksgiving that Judson NEEDS his nap or he is a big ol' grump! So Aunt Ashley gave it a try along with Nanna and Dad.  Nothing would work. It finally took Mom laying down with him and watching cartoons for him to give it up!

 A group played an exciting game of scrabble.

Kimberly worked on making some scrubbies which are dish scrubbers that Jeremy's Momer used to make and give.  She taught Kimberly how to make them, too.

Jeremy asked Audry to wake up Judson and she shook him and shook him and said," Judson, do you wanna play?" He said,"Yeah, I wanna play." and that was that. Here they are watching a movie.

Each of the cousins take turns reading The Christmas Story in the Bible and this year was Matt's turn. After the story is read, everyone joins hands and prays.

 We ate a delicious meal, of course.

The great grandkids opened their Christmas gifts and we all had a white elephant Christmas. Jeremy had his gifts stolen over and over and over and everyone thought it was so funny.   Here is a picture of Judson with his McDonald's drive thru headset so he could take everyone's order.

We all had a great time being together and are looking forward to all being together again soon.
